It has been an amazing year!! And as I count my blessings this Thanksgiving I am reminded on a regular basis just how blessed I am! I am a 11 year survivor now and continue to count the years and my blessings! As a cancer survivor we are reminded of the frailty of life on a regular basis, not only in our fight to survivor and to go on with our daily lives with the thought of cancer always lingering in our minds, but with the friends (family really) that we have made on our journey who fight this battle as well. There has been many of my “family” that has survived and stand next to me this Thanksgiving and many with sad hearts we have had to let go. So this holiday season, count your blessings, maybe it can include the air that we breath, the beauty in the earth, the love we feel everyday from family and friends and realize that we are truly blessed!
This season I would like to encourage you to take a moment and tell those who have stuck by you, stand by you through thick and thin, good and bad and love you even on those bad hair days, how much you appreciate them and are thankful to have them in your life…after all…isn’t that what this holiday is all about!!
