New Year….Clean Slate!

Here it is …the NEW YEAR!  It brings all kinds of excitement!  After all and first of all, we are all here and have a new year!  A time to move forward, to make changes, to do what we have wanted to do, it is a fresh start, a clean slate!

If you have gone through cancer, or watched someone you love go through cancer and you are here to start the new year, this is it, this is your big chance.  Even if you have not had any involvement with cancer, it is your new chance.  The world is your oyster, as corny as that sounds, but it is true!  Use this year to take a chance, to make new friends, to share with old ones, or to even mend fences.  Do what you want to do, do something everyday to be kind, smile, help someone.  It takes a second, and most of the time cost nothing!

Why do we sit around and wait?  Why do we save things?  Make a promise to yourself right now to make a change, do something different or do something you have always wanted to do.  You have a second chance, a new year, a new beginning.  You will not get anywhere if you don’t take the plunge!!  What would it hurt, not you.  It might not work out as you plan in your mind, but things always seem to work out or lead us in the direction we need to be.  So..take the chance.

This year my goal is the book.  I just got it started at the very end of last year and this year, I am moving forward.  I am taking this opportunity to help as many people as I can, to spread the word, to give back.  It is my goal to cheer up as many people going through cancer as possible!  I can do it!  It is my goal and I am inviting you to help!!  Spread the word, share the book, help charities!  WE CAN DO IT!  We can make this a fresh new year, with new adventures, new friends, and personal reward!  It feels so good to help others, so let’s all join in!!

In keeping with my book “Mirror Makeovers”,  I have a saying on my mirror that I keep there year round.  I want to leave this with you today, because I believe it is very profound and true.  I read it every morning and truly think about its meaning and I hope you will do the same! Pay close attention to the “word” and the “time”…..

“There are four things we can not recover.

The Stone….after the throw!

The word…..after it is said!

The Occasion….after the loss!

The Time…after it is gone!”

HAPPY “NEW” YEAR EVERYONE!
